As I read this verse, I am struck by the first word. It does not say IF you experience trials, rather, it says WHEN you experience them. In this life we all experience hardships. Yet, in this beautiful passage we are given hope. God promises to be with us in the deep waters He asserts that we will not drown in the rivers of difficulty. Nor, will we be consumed in the fire of oppression. Our Heavenly Father reminds us that He is our protection in the painful moments of life. We can trust fully in Him. He will take care of all of our needs. Pray your hope is in our Lord and Savior in both the difficult moments and the easier days…today and always!
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
